Tantra in Melbourne: Why I'm Relocating & What This Chapter Means

This one is more personal than most. It's about a move, a milestone, and a choice I've been circling for two years.

Fifteen years ago, I arrived in Australia. This past week marked that anniversary, and it landed at a strange, meaningful point in my life, right as I'm preparing for one of the biggest shifts I've made since. I'm relocating, for good, from the Gold Coast to Melbourne in a couple of months.

Why Now‍ ‍

For the past two years, I've felt something shifting underneath the surface of my life. Not a crisis, not dissatisfaction exactly, more like a quiet pull I couldn't keep ignoring. The kind of feeling that doesn't get louder so much as it gets more persistent, until eventually you have to respond to it.

I've built a life and a practice on the Gold Coast that I love. But I've also built my life path, personally and professionally, around a simple yet powerful commitment: choosing discovery and growth over comfort. Choosing learning through direct experience over staying somewhere just because it's familiar and it works.

This move is me honouring that commitment again, the same way I have at other points in my life when staying still started to feel like the wrong kind of safety.

I remember when I was organising my move from Brazil to Australia (back then, it was only meant to be for seven months). Half of the people I knew thought I was crazy, as I had a stable and successful career as an architect in Brazil. The other half told me they thought it was amazing and incredibly inspiring, and that they wished they had the courage to do the same.

What This Means for Chrysalis

Melbourne will become my base. The Gold Coast won't disappear from this practice though; I'll be returning roughly every six weeks to continue offering sessions there, alongside the clients and relationships I've built over the years in that city.‍ ‍

For anyone in Melbourne who has been curious about this work, this move means real, consistent access to tantric bodywork, somatic sexology, psychotherapy, and conscious sexuality coaching, rather than occasional visits.

For anyone on the Gold Coast, it means a slightly different rhythm, but the same depth of work and the same commitment to you.

What Stays the Same

Wherever I am, the foundation of this work doesn't change. A professional, held space. Real training and personal experience behind everything I offer. An approach that treats sexuality as connected to nervous system health, embodiment, aliveness, and how a person relates to themselves as a whole, not as something separate from the rest of life.

An Honest Note

I won't pretend this move doesn't come with some uncertainty. Fifteen years is a long time to build roots somewhere, and choosing to unsettle that on purpose isn't a small thing. But this is also exactly the kind of choice I invite clients toward all the time: to move toward growth even when comfort would be easier to reach for. It felt important to actually live that, not just teach it. This is the real meaning of embodiment.
